Gael and Garry opened the Olive Grove in September 97.

This, their first venture together, was almost inevitable.

Gael, having grown up in the restaurant trade (cleaning tables & icing buns since she was eight), received a marketing degree & then spent 2 yrs working in restaurants in Australia & America.

Unlike Gael, Garry's interest developed at a later stage of life and he formally studied as a mature student, graduating with a degree in Hotel and Catering Management from Cathal Brugha Street, Dublin. He has worked in two top Swiss Hotels, the Park Hotel in Kenmare and a number of top restuarants in Dublin and New York.

The kitchen is creatively looked after by head chef Robert Fitzgerald & Thomas Lawlor
